Contracted as art director/graphic designer at the national science magazine, Cosmos, I was responsible for the graphic design and production of the 128pp magazine produced quarterly. The role also included creating vector based illustrations and infographics, the research and procurement of images, briefing illustrators and photographers, liaising with journalists, setting production deadlines, getting the magazine ready for print and creating digital assets for the online version, cosmosmagazine.com. I worked on six issues while in this position, finishing only because the masthead was sold to new owners based in Adelaide.
